‘Breath of Fresh Air’

After being a Council tenant for 37 years Arthur and Amy Dean said that Cestria is like ‘a breath of fresh air’. They were commenting on the improvement work that had been done on their house in York Terrace. Arthur said “We have had to fight for everything that we needed for our house in the past as our son was disabled and things weren’t as easy as it is today, but when we saw the quality and workmanship of our improvements we couldn’t believe how lucky we were”.
Arthur and Amy moved into their first council house at Gainford in 1972 and lived there happily until they needed a stair lift for their son. Due to the layout of the property it was unable to be adapted to take the lift so they were offered their current house in York Terrace. Over the years they have had various works done to the property to enable their son to live at home but none of it was to the standard of the work carried out by Cestria’s contractors. Arthur said ‘My neighbour was in the other day and even he said that the windows were better qualities than the ones that were in when they bought their house’. Arthur and Amy are now looking forward to a comfortable time in the home.
