Cestria supports Youth Music Festival

A music festival which will be aimed at young people in Chester-le-Street has received a cash bonus thanks Cestria Community Housing.

The Chester-le-Street based housing association has donated £5,000 to help fund the ChesterFest music festival which will be held at Riverside Park on Saturday 14 August 2010.

New Director appointed at Cestria Community Housing

Cestria Community Housing has welcomed a new member of staff to its senior management team with the appointment of a Director of Finance and Corporate Services.

Martin Warhurst (36) joins the association from the social housing team of Grant Thornton in Leeds and will be responsible for leading and managing finance, human resources, ICT and corporate services.

Tenants push the button on their hard work

Starting the press to print a new resident involvement leaflet was the culmination of a year’s hard work for tenants at Cestria Community Housing.

The North East housing association has been working with the Cestria Reference Group and Readers Group to produce the leaflet and the tenants have been so involved in the project that they visited the firms local printer for a tour to see their handiwork.

Tenants will now find it much easier to tell the Chester-le-Street based landlord how satisfied they are with the services provided thanks to a new reporting system called ‘GovMetric’.
